Advanced OPEN WATER COURSE
Take your diving to the next level with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, designed to build your skills, boost your confidence, and unlock access to deeper and more challenging dive sites.
This course includes five adventure dives completed over 2–3 days, and is the perfect follow-up to your Open Water certification. Two of the dives are mandatory — Deep Dive and Underwater Navigation — while the remaining three are chosen based on your interests. At Sub Sinai, popular choices include Night Diving, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Fish Identification, or Wreck Diving (when available).
You’ll learn how to plan and execute deeper dives (up to 30 meters), use natural and compass-based navigation, improve your trim and buoyancy, and enhance your situational awareness underwater. All dives are supervised by a certified PADI Instructor, and all gear and transportation are included. No final exam — just diving, learning, and exploring.
Diving Tips
The Red Sea is one of the world’s best places to complete your Advanced Open Water course. Dahab’s unique topography makes it ideal for every specialty dive — from shallow coral gardens to dramatic drop-offs. You may complete your deep dive at The Canyon or Bells to Blue Hole, both offering stunning vertical formations and crystal-clear visibility down to 30 meters.
For your night dive, Lighthouse Reef is a local favorite. Watch lionfish hunt in the beam of your torch and catch flashes of bioluminescence with each fin kick. The Peak Performance Buoyancy dive often takes place at Mashraba or Eel Garden, where calm conditions allow you to fine-tune your control and hover like a pro.
The Advanced Open Water course isn’t about being advanced in skill — it’s about advancing your experience. Each dive introduces a new challenge and expands your comfort zone, helping you become a more confident, versatile, and capable diver in the world-class waters of Dahab.
